Who hosts and speaks
A Team Shah broker plus invited subject matter experts
Every seminar is hosted by a licensed Real Estate Broker from Team Shah Real Estate, Royal LePage Flower City Realty. Depending on the session, invited speakers may include real estate lawyers, mortgage professionals, banking representatives, insurance professionals, financial professionals or government-related organizations.
Speakers are invited for the practical knowledge they can share with buyers. The goal is to help attendees understand how the different parts of a purchase work together.
Some buyers arrive with straightforward employment, income and credit. Others may have limited Canadian credit history, complicated income or questions about how long they need to prepare.
A common example: a buyer may not qualify immediately. A mortgage professional can explain what needs to improve, what documents may be required and how long the preparation process could take.

Questions before you register
Am I going to get pitched the whole time?
No. This is an education-first session. You will hear from a Team Shah broker and invited industry subject matter experts. There is no obligation to work with Team Shah or any speaker afterward.
Do I need a pre-approval already to attend?
No. The seminar is useful for people who are just beginning to think about buying as well as people who are already pre-approved and actively looking.
Will you explain the First Home Savings Account?
Yes. We explain how the FHSA may help eligible first-time buyers save toward a qualifying home purchase and how it can fit alongside other home-buying programs.
How much is the Ontario land transfer tax rebate?
Eligible first-time buyers may receive a rebate of up to $4,000 on Ontario land transfer tax. Eligibility depends on the buyer's circumstances and should be confirmed with the buyer's lawyer.
Does “free” mean there is a catch?
No. There is no cost and no purchase required to attend.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. You may bring your spouse, partner, parent or another person involved in the decision.
Can I request support in another language?
Contact Team Shah before the seminar to request support in Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi or Marathi.
